In support of the continuous campaign against dengue, the Cebu City Health Department conducted a Dengue Awareness Orientation in Barangay Basak San Nicolas on July 24, 2026.
The orientation provided residents with important information on dengue prevention, early detection of symptoms, and effective measures to eliminate mosquito breeding sites within their homes and communities. Participants were also encouraged to practice the 4S Strategy: Search and destroy mosquito breeding places, Secure self-protection, Seek early consultation, and Support fogging or spraying only in hotspot areas.
Through this initiative, the Cebu City Health Department and Barangay Basak San Nicolas reaffirm their commitment to protecting public health by promoting awareness and encouraging active community participation in preventing the spread of dengue.
