In observance of International Youth Day, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cebu City, Department of Social Welfare and Services, Philippine National Police – Police Station 11, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region VII, and the Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP) successfully conducted the third Drug Awareness Symposium in a series of educational and advocacy activities.
Anchored on this year’s theme, “World Drug Problem: Persisting Issues, New Challenges, Innovative Responses,” the event brought together Senior High School students, faculty members, government agency partners, and community advocates to strengthen awareness and encourage active participation in the fight against illegal drugs through knowledge-based and preventive approaches.
Through this initiative, government institutions, academic partners, and the youth sector stand united in their collective commitment to address persisting drug-related challenges and promote a safer, healthier, and drug-free community.
