βBound by Addictionβ is a drug-awareness poster created using the pastel materials provided, with touches of white ink for the highlights and clouds. π¨βοΈ
The artwork symbolizes how drugs can trap a person and take away their freedom, dreams, and hope. The syringes, pills, blindfolds, and bindings represent addiction and the chains that keep a person trapped, while the wounded appearance reflects the pain and consequences brought by substance abuse.
In contrast, the children walking toward the bright path symbolize the younger generation and the better future that remains possible when they choose to stay away from drugs, violence, and harmful influences. π±β¨
Our artwork also reflects some of the concerns we face in our community, especially in our school, Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School, where students may be exposed to issues involving fraternities, drugs, and violence.
Incidents of fighting and serious violence have frightened us as students, especially when these things happen within the school environment. These experiences remind us that young people need guidance, protection, understanding, and positive influences. Our parents entrust us to our school because they believe it is a safe place where we can learn, grow, and build our future. π«π
We created this poster not only to attract attention, but also to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and the challenges that young people face today.
Drug use, violence, and involvement in harmful groups do not affect only one person. They can also hurt friends, families, classmates, teachers, and the entire school community.
Through this artwork, we hope to encourage our fellow youth to:

π Speak up and seek help when needed
π± Help build a safer, more peaceful, and supportive community
We may not be able to change everything overnight, but every good choice is a step toward breaking the chains.
